Chief Obioma Success Akagburuonye , also known as Barr. Success Akagburuonye, OSA, and by his traditional title Akaraugo 1 of Igboland, has built a career defined by service as much as by achievement.
He was born on 22 February 1966 in Ogbor Uvuru, Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, the ninth child of the late Mr Nehemiah Akagburuonye Amuchie and Mrs Monica Nwafor Akagburuonye. Raised in a farming household, Success Obioma Akagburuonye grew up shaped by hard work, resilience, faith, and compassion , values that continue to define both his personal life and his public work today.
His path into the law began at Kogi State University, where Chief Akagburuonye completed both an LL.B and an LL.M in Law, before proceeding to the Nigerian Law School. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012 and shortly afterward established his own chambers, O.S. Akagburuonye & Co. (Akara Ugo Chambers), in Abuja, where he continues to provide legal and corporate advisory services.
Today, Chief Dr. Barr. Engr. Obioma Success Akagburuonye, JP, is best known as the Founder and Chairman of Praco International Company, through which he has shaped residential and commercial developments across Nigeria’s real estate landscape. Alongside his business interests, he sits at the centre of Imo State’s philanthropic life as National President of Hope Rising for Imolites.
He holds the traditional title Akaraugo 1 of Igboland, serves as a Justice of the Peace (JP) in Imo State, and is married to Mrs Cecilia Akonjie Obioma Amuchie, a civil servant; the couple are blessed with four children and grandchildren.
