Driven by a passion for service, Chief Obioma Success Akagburuonye has established and supported numerous philanthropic initiatives focused on education, youth empowerment, healthcare, and community development , delivered chiefly through Hope Rising for Imolites, the platform he leads as National President.

Through Hope Rising, Success Obioma Akagburuonye has empowered young people with vocational and entrepreneurial skills, funded scholarships and healthcare interventions, supported widows and orphans, and donated vehicles to community organisations , work recognised with the United Nations Humanitarian Service Award and a Doctorate in Philanthropic Management from Freedom University, USA.

Perhaps his most visible landmark is the construction of Africa’s first Noah’s Ark Church, built in his hometown of Ogbor Uvuru for the Assemblies of God Nigeria — paired with enterprise-led philanthropy through Aqua Refresh Bottled Water Company, Akaraugo Microfinance Bank, and the Peace Be Still Hotel.

As Akaraugo 1 of Igboland, Barr. Success Akagburuonye’s philanthropic identity is inseparable from his traditional one — a title that carries an expectation of stewardship he has consistently reflected in how Hope Rising operates.
